The Macau government reportedly announced that taxes collected directly from game operations in the first two months of 2019 increased nearly 4.8% year-on-year, exceeding $2.42 billion.

Official data from the residence's Financial Services Administration showed that the significant amount collected over 59 days accounted for about 85.7% of the total $2.83 billion in taxes collected by officials in January and February.

Macau is home to some of the world's largest and most famous gambling venues, including SJM Holdings Limited' iconic casino Grand Lisboa and Melco Resorts and Entertainment Limited's $3.2 billion Studio City Macau. All of these operations are subject to a 35% total game tax on all live dealer tables, game consoles and VIP rooms with a validity rate of up to approximately 39%. 바카라사이트

Macau collected about $2.31 billion in taxes from gambling in January and February 2018, the latest figure following a 13.6% year-on-year increase in Macau to nearly $13.21 billion over the last year.

The Macau government ended up with a budget surplus of about $6.66 billion, and previously conservatively predicted that it would collect about $12.14 billion in taxes from game operations for the year. Experts expect this annual amount to be exceeded as Macau's January and February results already exceed $2.07 billion, but if this latter figure is true, it will lead to an additional surplus of about $2.23 billion.
